Welcome!
Welcome to the site of the City of Gainesville’s Safety Action Plan Project. This initiative has been created to ensure that the roads are safe and accessible to everyone living, working, or visiting Gainesville. The project utilizes a data-driven approach in combination with input from the Gainesville community to improve road safety and eliminate traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries. This project will update Gainesville’s existing Safety Action Plan to support the City’s Vision Zero initiative along two corridors: 34th Street (SR121) and SW 35th Place.
About
The City of Gainesville’s Comprehensive Safety Action Plan is a locally driven initiative that will help make the city’s streets safer for everyone by eliminating traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries. The project will use the State of Florida’s crash database to analyze crash patterns and identify high risk locations along the two corridors, as well as call on the public to identify areas they feel are unsafe or in need of improvement. If a crosswalk or an intersection feels dangerous, your input is needed!

Get Involved!
We want to hear from you! Your input is essential to shaping a safer, more accessible Gainesville. As part of the City’s Safety Action Plan, we’re inviting residents, workers, and visitors to share their transportation safety concerns.
Whether it’s a dangerous intersection, areas with frequent speeding, missing sidewalks or bike lanes, or any location where people feel unsafe — your feedback matters.
You can participate in two ways:
1. Use the Interactive Map
Drop a pin directly on the map to identify the exact location of your concern. Add a short description to explain what the issue is.
