The FDOT funded Bicycle Safety Support & Outreach (BSSO) provides free educational materials and resources to address the many causes of pedestrian and bicycle crashes, injuries, and fatalities and to promote safe pedestrian and bicycling activities for residents of all ages. The initiative supports bicycle safety advocates through bicycle helmet certification, recertification training, and finding community partners through participation in state and local community events.
