Apply for a CPS Instructor Stipend - Transportation Technology Transfer Center

Florida’s OPRC provides stipends to Child Passenger Safety (CPS) instructors certified through Safe Kids Worldwide.
The FY 2024/2025 stipend amounts include:

$210 for renewal course within 50 miles of HQ
$500 for renewal course greater than 50 miles from HQ
$420 for STAC course
$1000 for STAC course mentor
$640 for full course within 50 miles of HQ
$1500 for full course greater than 50 miles from HQ

Stipend eligibility:

Florida resident
Teaching off-duty (PTO is acceptable)
CPS/STAC course in Florida
Posted on Safe Kids website
No local fee
Min. 5 students registered
Number of instructors within 5:1 ratio
OPRC reports up-to-date
1 stipend per grant year

To apply:

Complete application form below.
Complete form to become a UF Vendor.
Review and submit signed contract.
Submit invoice.

Return signed contract AND class agenda with instructor teaching schedule/assignment to FloridaOPRC@ce.ufl.edu.

A notice to proceed (NTP) will be issued for approved stipend requests. Upon class completion, submit invoice and class roster to FloridaOPRC@ce.ufl.edu. Payment will be issued with NTP documentation.
