A safer Key West Starts with you.

Whether it’s a dangerous intersection, areas with frequent speeding, missing sidewalks or bike lanes, or any location where people feel unsafe — your feedback matters.

You can participate in two ways:

1. Use the Interactive Map
Drop a pin directly on the map to identify the exact location of your concern. Add a short description to explain what the issue is.

1. Click on the map to add a pin to
report unsafe areas.

2. Submit the Survey
Fill out the online survey to provide more detailed feedback on traffic safety issues across the city.

Together, we can build a safer Key West — one street at a time.

2. Submit your detailed feedback from
to report unsafe areas.

Public Events & Meetings

Join us at community events, workshops, and pop-ups to learn more about the plan, share your ideas, ask questions, and help shape safety improvements for your neighborhood. These events are opportunities for two-way dialogue — your voice helps guide the process.

This plan is informed by systematic data analysis and grounded in community input at every stage. The timeline reflects a comprehensive process that begins with goal setting and community engagement, and ends with a finalized Safety Action Plan delivered to the City by April 2026.

Each phase includes collaboration with stakeholders and city staff to ensure that the plan addresses Key West’s unique transportation safety needs.

Here are some examples of peer cities in Florida that have developed their own Vision Zero or Safety Action Plans:
